Songwriter/Storyteller

Weaving raw experience into relatable song

For Billy Ray Wheaton, songwriting isn't just a creative outlet—it’s a necessity. After two decades spent traversing the globe and absorbing the rhythms of life from Okinawa to the Florida coast, Billy Ray returned home with a notebook full of stories and a need to make sense of them.

His sound, a weathered blend of Bules, Americana and Folk, is built on the belief that the hardest truths make the best songs. Eschewing polished tropes for raw, honest expression, Billy Ray’s music explores the universal themes of resilience, transition, and the search for hope in the quiet moments. His lyrics don't just tell stories; they serve as a map of a life lived across borders and through seasons of profound change.
